Course Description:

Run as a three-day classroom style training course

Prepare for the PMI-ACP exam and gain the 21 contact hours of training in agile practices that is a requirement for the exam.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course however in order to sit the PMI-ACP exam, PMI has the following requirements:

2,000 hours of general project experience working on teams. A current PMP® or PgMP® will satisfy this requirement but is not required to apply for the PMI-ACP.
1,500 hours working on agile project teams or with agile methodologies. This requirement is in addition to the 2,000 hours of general project experience.
21 contact hours of training in agile practices – this course will satisfy this criteria.

How

This is a fun, but intense 3 days of learning.

The course is made up of a mixture of training, discussions, and group exercises. Participants get a chance to discuss both hypothetical situations and some items from their own experiences.

While the manual will contain almost 400 slides, training is most definitely not “death by PowerPoint”. A lot of slides are there for reference and note taking and training will focus on what you need to understand in order to pass the exam.

The Exam

This course does not include the actual PMI exam. This is up to participants to organise with PMI after the course.

The course helps participants learn what is required in order to pass the exam. Participants will be able to organise through PMI to sit the exam with some confidence after this course.
