This one-day intensive course covers a good grounding in Agile and Attendees will come away not only understanding how Agile compares to such practices as Scrum, XP, DevOps, SAFe, RAD, and others but will be given the tools and knowledge to take their learning back to their teams to make a difference.

Why 4 times as many projects are successful when using Agile compared to using Waterfall (standard project methodology). Intended Audience

One Day Agile is intended for all team members and those working with Agile teams. An Agile team includes all those tasked with building and delivering the project including the builders/developers, testers, designers, business analysts, project managers and anyone else aligned with delivery.

The course was created to fill a need for businesses, corporates, and government departments who want to train entire departments; teams who want to understand Agile; and individuals who are unable to take the time or cost of the full ICAgile Certified Professional course.

Not just for software development: Agile Essentials has been delivered to teams that have nothing to do with either software, product development, or even projects. One example is a Human Resources department for a Government agency, now able to implement and work in an Agile way to increase and share knowledge and deliver value.

Attendees for this course include middle and senior managers to allow them to understand the Agile way of working so that they can assist their teams to deliver greater value.

Our DragonsArm trainers have assisted organisations to move towards a full Agile working model and mindset that increases value and throughput and become more transparent and able to cope with change. This transparency and the way that course attendees work allows the team and the organisation to appreciate the teamwork, monitor (and have a way to handle) disruptions, to showcase their achievements, and continually improve.

How this course is run?

Taken as an intense and full day of classroom training run in either an off-site, fully catered location, or in-house at your premises. Classes start at 9 am and go through to 5 pm.

All material is provided and includes a printed copy of the slides and further reading material. Open discussion is encouraged and participants can ask specific questions with ideas that they can take back with them.

The feedback we receive shows that, while the learning is important, it is these discussions, group exercises, and the combined experiences of people in different situations that give the extra value to those attending. These experiences cannot be gained from reading or online courses.

Attendees will be able to understand Agile and work effectively for and with an Agile team. Managers will understand their role in assisting Agile teams to deliver an how they can best ensure constant delivery of value to the organisation and the customer.
