There’s an old and true saying
“When you’re up to your ass in alligators, it’s hard to remember that the main purpose is to drain the swamp”
Agile Leadership is not about directing the alligator fight – it’s about the vision. Let the team know the vision of draining the swamp and ask them to come up with a plan to do that and then ask how you can help them achieve the objective.
Understand the alligator problem, but ensure the vision of draining the swamp is the direction.
Agile Principle number 5: “Build projects around motivated individuals. Give them the environment and support they need, and trust them to get the job done“
