The Chinese dragon is considered a symbol of power, strength, and knowledge. In Chinese culture, excellent and outstanding people are compared to a dragon.
Receive a gentle push from the mighty dragon’s arm and you will go far. We loved that thought and so the DragonsArm name was born.

As an agile coach, trainer and consultant for more than 20 years, I have been personally and directly involved in teams using a range of agile flavours including Scrum, SAFe, XP, FDD, RAD, Lean/Kanban, and many others. Through this direct experience, I have come to prove the true benefits of well-coached teams focusing on the mindset and the values of agile principles in their daily work.
Coming from a background of software development, team leadership, development management, business analysis, agile coach, executive leadership, and project and program management; I have implemented Agile practices and guided the agile mind-shift to change a number of often average to poorly performing groups into highly productive and close-knit teams which continually add recognisable value to the organisation.

An internationally recognized ICAgile trainer, Horia serves on the ICAgile Delivery Management track to help redevelop the learning objectives for Agile Project management. He is also called upon as a leader of the PMI Agile Community of Practice.
His skills assisting senior leaders focus on the art of creating agile enterprise ecosystems and giving continuous delight has allowed him to introduce organisational change at the enterprise level.
Horia holds a PhD in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Science and Technology. He is trained as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and serves as an Agile coach and mentor helping numerous organizations transform their thinking, organizational and action habits to achieve better outcomes, all while improving professional and personal satisfaction for everyone involved.

An experienced ICAgile trainer, Aldo is not only recognised as an expert in the agile testing community but also sits on the advisory council for the Disciplined Advisory Consortium – https://disciplinedagileconsortium.org/DAC-Advisors/
Starting in IT as a junior programmer in 1998, Aldo gained experience in software development. He went on from there into the world of testing, and later started the journey into agile, and more specifically, focusing on agile coaching.
Through this career progression, Aldo has gained experiences in South Africa, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Through these experiences, he has gained practical elements of agile and best practices across a range of titles, assignments, projects, organisations and industries. Aldo is fascinated is the constant change which ensures that there is always something new for everyone to learn, regardless of experience levels or qualifications.
Aldo holds a passion in the ‘people’ dimension of the ‘people-process- technology’ mix, and how that translates into successful IT strategy, teams, projects and practitioners. As a result, he relishes opportunities to teach, coach, develop, and grow skills, people and teams, and to help them reach maturity at both strategic and operational levels.
Tim Guay is an ICAgile Authorized Instructor, a Certified Professional Agile Coach and Agile Team Facilitator. He is also certified to teach the ICAgile’s Agile Team Facilitation and Agile Coaching professional certifications.
Tim sits on the ICAgile DevOps Certification Committee and was one of the four authors of the Implementing DevOps certification Learning Objectives. He is currently working with the other committee members to draft the experienced and competency-based DevOps Expert certification.
Tim brings to DragonsArm his tremendous experience and leadership in Lean Agile best practices with a proven track record as a team member, trainer and coach. He has introduced Agile and Lean into organizations, providing Agile and Lean training and coaching, as well as introducing DevOps best practices. Tim is well-versed in migration from traditional waterfall to Agile software development processes at both the team and enterprise level.
He has delivered Agile training and coaching to a wide-range of organizations from start-ups to Fortune 50 corporations since 2002, including JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Cisco, Intuit, Navistar, Royal Canadian Navy, and US State and Federal Government Agencies; to name a few.
Tim has also developed, co-developed and acted as technical editor on a wide-variety of Scrum, Agile, and Lean Six Sigma courseware, including the first Agile Software Design certification course available in North America.
He has also been awarded Hawaiian Telcom’s Hui Lanakila Award for Employee Excellence in his role as a technical trainer, has multiple Agile certifications, is a Lean Six Sigma Sensei and a TOGAF Certified architect, has published articles in the field of IT, and regularly presents at conferences on technology topics.

Sulan is experienced in Project management, research, marketing, consultancy, and training.
In addition, Sulan has extensive experience in international trade and education. Fluent in both English and Chinese.
Sulan holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand; a Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Manukau Institute of Technology, Auckland; a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from Lanzhou University, P.R. China; and a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certificate from Edenz College, Auckland.
